This Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker was sitting in pieces scattered around. We gathered them all up and gave it a test and it works fine. Now rehomed at the house of somebody previously uncaffeinated.
One thing I don't like about these things is the fact that there are a fair amount of pieces that just come right off. In some sense that is a good thing forcleaning and maintenance, but every time you move or store one of these things you have to watch for all the parts.
